I remember . . . Mike Pagliarulo

This guy's going to be big (I have a dozen of his rookie cards I can sell you) . . . Had one decent season in 1987 (with 32 HRs and 87 RBIs) but even then his OBP barely topped .300. Why exactly did we think he was going to be a star? . . . He really wasn't very good . . . His son played for the 2009 Ivy League champion Dartmouth baseball team.

Most Comparable: Steve Buechele
Career Earnings: $4.6 MM
Where is he now: Owner, The Baseline Group and iScouts Inc. (scouting services)

Most Comparable: Paul Konerko (to date), Greg Luzinski.

Career Earnings: $19.9 MM (not bad).

Part of way-cool 80's outfield combo with Jesse Barfield and George Bell . . . Was by far the worst of those three. . . . His nickname was "Shaker" (Seriously? That sucks and I don't believe that was his nickname.) . . . Played two years in Japan.
